Great replacement for tired old alternator.
My 1955 Quickly alternator was getting very tired, weak magnets in the rotor. This new replacement seemed the perfect solution, all parts replaced at once. I found it fitted perfectly except for one of the ignition coil poles just touched the rotor magnets. A few moments with some engineers blue and a small file dealt with that. Connected the generator wire, the plug lead, fitted the rotor, cleaned the points and set their gap. Set the ignition timing, and time for a test. Started first time. A road test revealed how tired my old alternator was! Crisp response and better power, and good tickover. Lights good, and even the hooter worked, which it did not on the old alternator. Very pleased!

Pole wheel puller for all Quickly motors Notes: Please note that the thread of the crankshaft must be protected by a brass pressure piece or similar if the pole wheels are stuck.Alternatively, the nut of the pole wheel can remain on the threaded stub.(loosen nut and turn flush to the end of the thread).
